Have you ever been super excited to purchase an item.....go to the store to try it on...only to be completely let down at how it was nothing like what you expected?
This was the case for me with the Sequined Stripe Boatneck Shirt featured in the French video on jcrew.com. Being that the shirt is part of the J.Crew Collection, I had high hopes for the covetable tee. Upon trying it on, the material was completely see through and lacked that great fit I'm looking for in a Collection piece. It was just blah. On the contrary, the lower priced peach neon Fade-Out Sailor Tee, that is not part of the Collection was a fabulous sale find. Purchasing the $29.99 tee with an additional 20% off at the time was an absolute steal.
This just goes to show that the higher priced item is not always better.
